NTPC is committed to generating power responsibly and sustainably. Therefore besides fossil fuels we have diversified into producing energy via cleaner and greener sources such as hydro and solar energy. Today, NTPC occupies the premier position in the Indian energy sector in terms of size and efficiency. It accounts for 27% of India’s total generation during the financial year 2012-13. With an increasing presence in the power value chain, NTPC is well on its way to becoming an “Integrated Power Major.” India powers India’s growth story.
