A Journey of Continuing Challenges
It has been an honour of my life having got the opportunity to serve in this great organisation. I have been reflecting what the past 30 years have meant for me. And the image that comes to mind is the beginning of a journey on 7th November 1975. A journey of continuing challenges. Our challenges seemed complex. We understood and responded to them well, in the face of stress and threat. It will always be this way. We have grown in size and responsibility. For me, personally, it has been exciting and challenging to be part of growth and development of NTPC. I truly feel it very rewarding to be working with bright and talented people in this organisation

I compliment all those who walked with us on a journey of priceless time, stood by us in thick and thin of times.

Thank God! Thanks NTPC!
1975! A Star is born. NTPC is incorporated! NTPC, a small organisation then had huge plans. I am lucky to be among the very first members of the ‘Team-NTPC’ which is destined to create history of sorts

Even as the growth of NTPC unfolds, my own life story moves on. I joined NTPC in July, 1976 as father of a one month old infant. There has been interesting parallels in the growth of my son and my daughter and the growth of the Organisation. Today, NTPC is a power giant with 29,894 MW. By the grace of God, I am a grand –father of one and half year old child.

God has been generous to me. I have been able to contribute to the company with all my capability and commitment. At the same time, my wife has been shouldering larger than her fair share of domestic responsibilities. My family has blossomed into a happy and cheerful unit with promises of a happy future. In nutshell, the unique parallel between the growth of the organisation, growth of my family and my career-growth in NTPC has been such a satisfying experience of life that I could not have asked GOD for more. I dedicate all my achievements to the company and my family, who always stood by me in enabling me to give my best to the company.

I wish and pray that when my innings at NTPC comes to a close, I move out watching company’s flag aflutter high as a globally comparable integrated power company. And with a feeling that l’d had my own humble contribution in the performance of the company.
