Backward and Forward Integration to power NTPC's Growth

Appreciating the efforts of the employees in taking the organization to phenomenal heights Dr. Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD, NTPC said the time has come for a paradigm shift in NTPC, for the organization to prosper and remain relevant for years to come. He was addressing the employees stationed at all locations on the occasion of 39th raising day of the company today . He said key to future growth of the company lies in forward and backward integration to sustain its position as biggest generator in the country along with steady capacity addition. Coal mining and distribution of power shall meet the fuel requirement and help in sale of power in coming years he said.
All the functional directors of the company were present on the occasion with CMD.
Dr. Roy Choudhury thanked the Government and Minister of Power for making NTPC integral part of all the recent steps being initiated to strengthen the power sector.
Exhorting NTPC engineers to take lead as pioneer in the field of Design, Research & Development he emphasized on the need to be innovative through introduction of new efficient technologies which are fuel efficient to help in decreasing the carbon foot print of the company. He said Advance Super Critical Technology is knocking at our door and we must be the first to implement it.
In his address he also mentioned that NTPC has been instrumental in bringing all the major power equipment manufacturers to set up units in India with its bulk tender scheme which is in line with Government's vision of encouraging manufacturing in the country by "Make in India".
